Overview
As part of a timed design challenge in Mindsmith, this course was created for HubSpot Sales and Success Reps to help them handle objections. The task required mimicking HubSpot’s tone, branding, and voice.
The Challenge
Design a short, engaging eLearning course on objection handling in Mindsmith that reflects HubSpot’s distinct branding, tone, and voice, without access to internal style guides. The project required independent research to align visuals, messaging, and interaction style with HubSpot’s sales culture and learning preferences, all within a tight deadline.
The Solution
I created a scenario-rich course using a coaching tone and conversational design. The module introduces objection types, walks reps through each CARE step, and allows them to apply what they’ve learned in realistic dialogue simulations. Each interaction provides immediate feedback to support skill-building.
Process
Approach
To authentically reflect HubSpot’s style, I began by studying publicly available resources—including their Brand Guidelines, Customer Code, and blog tone—to capture the company’s conversational voice and visual identity. I then used these insights to script, design, and prototype a clean, mobile-responsive course in Mindsmith, complete with custom visuals and interactive practice. I prioritized clarity, warmth, and humor to resonate with HubSpot's audience.
To build confidence through practice, I layered instruction with light gamification. Learners first explore objection patterns, then step into the rep’s shoes with branching activities where they choose from nuanced responses. A custom avatar and branded backgrounds add personality and polish, keeping the tone aligned with HubSpot’s culture.

Outcome or Impact:
This project sharpened my ability to quickly adapt to a company’s brand and voice, even without direct access to internal resources. It reinforced how intentional tone, consistent visuals, and meaningful interactivity can elevate a short course into a powerful experience, especially when built under tight time constraints.
