Trail Smart: Survival Edition

Overview

This interactive Rise 360 course was designed for an eLearning Challenge. It uses a mobile app–style dashboard with gamified mini-modules to teach hiking safety in Caballero County Parks.

The Challenge

The challenge prompt asked designers to create an engaging experience around outdoor trail safety. I wanted to avoid a static slide-based course and instead build something that felt like a mobile app learners could carry on the trail.

The Solution

I designed a central “Trail Smart Dashboard” where learners can explore survival topics like hydration, wildlife, navigation, and emergencies. Each section includes interactive activities and scenario-based choices built with the Mighty plugin, making the course feel like a game rather than a lecture.

This project showcases my ability to combine instructional design with UX-inspired layouts. It highlights my strengths in interactivity, gamification, and visual design — proving I can transform content into something immersive and app-like.
